A medium sweet, delicately acidic honey with a pleasant and almost imperceptible bitter note. Citrus honey is one of the most universally appreciated honeys.

After extraction by mechanical centrifugation, the honey is left to decant cold, then filtered and packaged. The processing temperature is always close to 30°C in order to preserve the taste, flavour and main nutrients.

Consigli d’uso

Citrus honey is used in savoury dishes such as roasts, sweet recipes and especially in fried dishes. Its natural sweetness makes it perfect for sweetening infusions and tea. We recommend it together with cheeses such as Mozzarella, Scamorza and Caciocavallo. We also suggest using it cold to enhance its organoleptic characteristics.

La pianta

Citrus (orange, lemon, mandarin, bergamot) is an evergreen shrub or tree, generally from 2 to 6 metres in height. The flowers, with a whitish corolla with pink hues, and often remembered for their pleasant scent, blossom in spring. Found exclusively in cultivated areas from sea level to 600 metres in altitude.
